Adrien and Pierre-Louis

We're two early childhood friends from France called Adrien PICCITTO and Pierre-Louis SPATZ.

After 1,5 years of preparation, we made a kayak expedition in Norway from Bergen to the North Cape this year. We paddled 173 days and reached the North Cape on 25. August 2019.

(Fr🇫🇷⬇️) Wednesday, July 31. After our 5 days of forced stop in Skjervøy we can finally get back to the sea. The morning we had a crossing of more than 20 km surely one of the biggest of our adventure! At the end of the morning the sale comes up. After the lunch break the sea becomes rough, we sail 3 km and then we stop to take an overview of the situation. The conditions are getting worse but we still decide to go to the sea for 4 km but in the end we were determined and we did more than 10 km. • • • Mercredi 31 juillet. Après nos 5 jours d'arrêt forcé à Skjervøy on peut enfin rependre la mer. Le matin une traversée de plus de 20 km sûrement une des plus grandes de l'aventure ! En fin de matinée le vend se lève. Après la pause de midi la mer devient agitée, nous faisons 3 km puis nous nous arrêtons pour faire un point sur la situation. (Fr🇫🇷⬇️) After several days of progressing at a good rhythm, making big crossings and very straight trajectories. We are forced to stay ashore for several days, a rather strong northerly wind is blowing over northern Norway. But we are on an island with a supermarket and a crazy view, so we wait without stress to leave. Even if we are impatient to set sail again for the North Cape! We will keep you informed when we leave 😉 • • • Après plusieurs jours à avancer en ayant un bon rythme, en faisant des grosses traversées et des trajectoires très droites, nous sommes contraints de rester plusieurs jours à terre, un vent plutôt fort du nord s'installe sur le nord de la Norvège. Mais, nous sommes sur une île avec supermarché et une vue de dingue, nous attendons donc sans stress de repartir. Même si nous avons hâte de reprendre la mer vers le Cap nord ! (Fr🇫🇷⬇️) Tuesday, July 23rd. We continue on our way, the weather is good so we decide to take the straightest possible trajectory, 20km to traverse in 4 hours. To finally do 28km and sleep at the bottom of the Lyngen Alps on a small bivouac with wood fire and table. Perfect for a break! • • • Mardi 23 juillet. On continue sur notre lancée, la météo est bonne donc on décide de prendre la trajectoire la plus droite possible, 20km de traverser en 4h. Pour au final faire 28km et dormir aux pieds des Alpes de Lyngen sur une petite place de bivouac avec feu de bois et table.
